Meet the teachers in Ram Ram

Alejandra

Ale began her practice in 2009 and through it immediately connected with her body and spiritual aspiration. Since then, her quest to find herself has motivated the deepest discipline; her journey has been nourished by different types of hatha yoga, vinyasa, restorative, yin, and a recent immersion in ashtanga. In 2013, she began teaching, and she has consistently practiced the lineage of Sri Dharma Mitra since 2016. Ale believes that today her main practices are meditation and the study of Sanskrit philosophies, which she combines with managing the shala, writing, and visual art. Practice is, for her, the driving force behind growth and profound, inexhaustible self-knowledge to which she dedicates her life; she feels that yoga has healed her and believes that yoga has the power to heal all who begin their journey in search of it. With this service-oriented purpose—offering yoga to heal—she perceives an inner force that led her to found Ram Ram Yoga in 2020.

Ricardo

Ricardo came across yoga at some point in 2009 when a friend invited him to take his first hatha yoga class. Immediately connecting with the practice, he wanted to learn more and explored different styles such as kundalini and Iyengar. After some time practicing, he embarked on a journey to northern India to learn more about this technique. Upon returning from that trip in India, he immersed himself further into the Mysore-style Ashtanga practice, which became his main practice for more than 10 years.

A knee injury led him to explore other disciplines for rehabilitation, which complemented his yoga practice by expanding the horizon with which he worked the body. Ricardo is a fervent believer in the transformative and healing power of yoga practice, in which he has found a path for life.
