Retreat: HABITAT
A practice of feeling as a way of life
Where: Bacalar
When: August 14–16, 2026
Led by: Alejandra Benítez
This retreat is an invitation to inhabit with greater sensitivity what is already unfolding within you.
Through the practice of yoga — movement, breath, and meditation — we will refine perception in order to observe how emotions manifest in the body: the foundation that supports us, the center that processes, and the space that opens and expresses itself.
The sessions are designed as spaces for deep exploration, including Hatha Yoga and different restorative yoga practices. This is not only about “doing postures,” but about using the practice as a tool to release tension, recognize patterns, and begin to understand the body as a living language.
Throughout the retreat, we will also integrate observation and writing exercises (a small practice journal). Each participant will receive a personal notebook to document their process, helping integrate the experience and carry it into everyday life.
No previous experience is necessary — only the willingness to feel, observe, and remain present.
In a beautiful, intimate, and supportive environment, with a small group, this retreat offers something simple yet uncommon: the time to be with yourself.
Because the way we inhabit the body is also the way we inhabit our life.

@mujerficcion
Ale began her practice in 2009, and through it she immediately connected with her body and spiritual aspiration. Since then, her search for self-understanding has inspired a deep sense of discipline. Her path has been nourished by different forms of Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa, Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga, and more recently, an immersion in Ashtanga.
In 2013, she began teaching and has practiced consistently within the lineage of Sri Dharma Mittra since 2016. Today, Ale considers meditation and the study of Sanskrit philosophies to be her main practices — disciplines she combines with running the shala, writing, and visual art.
For her, practice is the driving force behind a profound and inexhaustible process of growth and self-knowledge, to which she dedicates her life. She feels that yoga has healed her and believes it has the power to heal anyone who begins their own search.
With this intention of service — offering a healing-oriented yoga practice — she felt an inner force that led her to found Ram Ram Yoga in 2020.
